I am “The Candidate Whisperer” - like the dog whisperer, but for people who are looking for jobs.

I painted houses while going through my undergrad program. I worked with some great people, but over time our employer didn’t treat us all the same. We would get paid a few days late, some co-workers wouldn’t show up and could get away with it, while others would be 20 minutes late and wouldn’t hear the end of it.

In 2018, I landed an HR internship my senior year. I was immersed into the HR space and focused a lot on recruiting - I began to fall in love with the profession. It was the first time in a long time that I truly enjoyed going to work, which is saying a lot because I was part-time making $12 an hour with a 6-month old at home!

I furthered my education at Utah State University with a Masters in HR. I worked full-time at a staffing company and recruiting continued to intertwine with my personal and professional life but I wanted something more. I wanted to be part of the “real HR world” - you know, the HR managers, benefits specialists, etc…

During my time at USU, I started a job at a digital marketing agency as their lone recruiter and I was hooked. The “real HR world” was happening all around me and I realized just how crucial recruiting is to a successful HR team. We impact so much because we are often the first person a company meets - talk about a pressure-packed first impression!

I’ve been at Ramp Talent for over 2 years. We help companies whose recruiting needs aren’t being met or aren’t yet established. We play a vital role in our clients lives and, oftentimes, we implement recruitment practices that become company standards.

If I’m not on back-to-back phone interviews, tracking down a hiring manager for feedback (you know who you are) or negotiating a final offer, you’ll most likely find me tapping-in for bogey at my local golf course.
