Remember the 1990s TV hit show, Cops? Bad Boys Bad Boys, whatcha gonna do? Meet the new version of Cops called Cop Watchers or Auditors found on your local YouTube app.

Yes, there is a list of YouTube “Cop Watching” influencers who show up to civilian and police encounters and record the interaction. Their purpose is to wake up an over policed nation and they have turned this into a job.  Some of the Cop Watchers and Auditors are cashing in at over $150K per month.

The next time you find yourself getting pulled over in Gilbert, AZ (prominent Cop Watching town), make sure it’s a good hair day because you might have a Cop Watcher show up to the scene.

Cops, like any profession, have good people and bad people in it. Let’s hope the Cop Watchers can help address the bad behavior but get the hell out of the way when Cops are doing a good job.

If you have worked in an office, then you have been in some loooong and boring meetings. Well at Shopify, they now calculate how much a meeting will cost. The average cost of a 30 minute meeting with 3 people at Shopify will cost between $700 to $1600.

At the beginning of 2023, Shopify canceled 12,000 calendar series and events and reinstated “no meeting Wednesdays”. This is part of their initiative to reduce unnecessary gatherings.

Since everyone is working and nobody is meeting, can you just email HR and ask for a pay raise? No performance evaluation meeting needed because it costs too much money to have a meeting. I have been working hard this year. I promise.

The signs are positive with this Israel founded start-up with a headquarters in New York City. With $200M in sales and an experienced founding team, it looks like Wiz will avoid the tech graveyard.
